The 19th Central European Workshop on Quantum Optics (CEWQO-2012) will take place on 2 - 6 July 2012 in the Carpathian resort of Sinaia, Romania. The conference will start on 2 July in the morning and will close on 6 July in the afternoon.
Continuing the tradition of the previous CEWQO, the 2012 edition will be a blend of invited talks given by distinguished scientists in the fields of Quantum Optics and Quantum Information, and of selected oral contributions and posters. CEWQO-2012 should provide an excellent opportunity to review the latest developments in these fast-growing fields, and also to offer a glimpse into future prospects.

Abstract submission deadline for invited speakers
The Proceedings of the 19th Central European Workshop on Quantum Optics will be published as a Topical Issue of the journal Physica Scripta. All the participants at CEWQO-2012 are kindly invited to submit their contribution to the Conference Proceedings.
1. Manuscripts in the form of PDF files should be submitted by e-mail to only one of the following Scientific Guest Editors of Physica Scripta:
2. The deadline for submission is 15 September 2012.
3. Article source format: LaTeX or Word. The Guidelines files ioplatexguidlines.zip and IOPWordGuidelines.pdf can be downloaded from http://authors.iop.org.
4. The length of the contribution should be of maximum 8 pages in IOP preprint format, corresponding to aprox. 5 pages in the published version 2-column format of Physica Scripta. This means that the article should contain no more than 4500 words or its equivalent, taking into account pictures and formulas. One page in Physica Scripta contains around 900 words.
All papers will be refereed.
