Scope of the Conference:

Mesoscopic structures are between "not so few-" and "not too many-" body quantum systems. They exhibit specific finite size properties, like fluctuations, dissipative phenomena, collective excitations, superfluidity, shell and clustering effects, etc. The methods employed in the description of such systems try to match the few-body quantum mechanics from one side with the many-body techniques and thermodynamics from the other side.

The main goal of the conference is to bring together scientists from different fields. This conference is a good opportunity to discuss various aspects of mesoscopic physics, from nano-scale condensed matter physics to nuclear physics, in order to facilitate the exchange of ideas and theoretical techniques, as well as the interaction between theorists and experimentalists from important scientific institutions.
